Step-by-Step Address Change of Company Process

Documentation
The company must submit verification of its registered office to the Registrar within 30 days of incorporation, in the prescribed format.
Board Meeting
A Board Meeting should be convened to pass a resolution approving the change of the registered office.
Notice
A minimum of 7 days’ notice must be given to all Board members before the meeting.
Board Resolution
During the meeting, the Board passes a resolution to change the registered office within the local limits of the city, town, or village.
File Form INC-22
The company must file Form INC-22 with the Registrar of Companies within 30 days of passing the Board resolution.
Approval
The address change becomes effective once INC-22 is approved, and the Company Master Data is updated simultaneously.

No. A company’s registered office must be located within the state in India where it is incorporated. It cannot be situated outside the country.
