The filed Forms 15CA and 15CB are submitted to the bank along with other required documents for foreign remittance.

When Is Form 15CA / 15CB Required to Be Filed?

Form 15CA is required to be submitted to the bank when a person makes a remittance or payment to a non-resident or a foreign company. In certain cases where tax is required to be deducted at source (TDS) on such remittances, a certificate from a Chartered Accountant in Form 15CB is also mandatory. Form 15CB is obtained after uploading Form 15CA online and is submitted along with it to comply with Income Tax regulations.

Penalties for Non-Filing of Form 15CA / 15CB

Failure to file Forms 15CA or 15CB may attract a penalty of ₹1,00,000 for each instance of default, as prescribed under the Income Tax Act.

Withdrawal of Form 15CA

Form 15CA can be withdrawn within three days from the date of online submission, subject to applicable conditions.
